This Month's To-Do List
Seniors: APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. All the local awards and scholarships given out at graduation which must be applied for are announced this month. EVERY senior should look over the MAY Scholarship packet and request applications they are eligible for
I will be scheduling senior exit interviews during the week of 5/21. This is when we will meet to review your graduation status and review the narrative that will be announced about you when you receive your diploma. Please bring copies of any scholarship awards you have received, along with copies of your acceptance letters.
If you plan to attend JCC next year, plan to participate in one of the New Student Registration and Orientation sessions scheduled for 5/24 and 5/25. You must register to participate by calling the admissions office at 786-2408. It is very important that you complete this part of the process early so you can schedule the classes you need next fall at times that are convenient for you.
If your placement test results (which you took at LCS on 5/3) indicated that you placed into ENG 099, MTH 090 or 099, please consider attending the JCC Summer Bridge Program (STAR). See me for details. If you placed into ENG 100, you can register to take a summer class, so you can enter ENG 101 in the fall. See me as soon as possible for details
If you have taken ANY JCC college class in high school, which you paid for to recieve college credit, you will need to request that an official JCC college transcript be sent directly from JCC to your college in order for your credits to be accepted as transfer credits. The cost is $6 and the best method to order is to use their online ordering system. Click below to access the student records office to order your transcript http://www.sunyjefferson.edu/Registrar/transcript.html
