~Financial Aid Planning Presentation~
For parents, students and community members (open to any age, but most suitable for college-bound students and their parents in Grades 11 and 12)
Tuesday, January 6, from 7-8 pm in the LCS Auditorium
A financial aid expert from JCC will present a slide show and question and answer session to help students and their parents in the process of filing for financial aid.
Topics to be covered include: the FAFSA, loans, grants, and scholarships

Jodi Okun from College Financial Aid Advisors will give a thorough line-by-line reading of the FAFSA application. High school seniors and their parents are highly encouraged to register for this free webinar. All registrants will receive a video recording of the presentation so live attendance is not required but certainly encouraged as there is a Q&A session with Jodi at the end of her presentation. CollegeWeekLive Event: PAYING FOR COLLEGE
CollegeWeekLive is a free, online college and career fair, hosting live chat sessions with college representatives and virtual admissions events throughout the year. This special one-day event will be broadcast from 10am to 10 pm on January 15, 2015. Offering college-bound students the opportunity to connect online with financial aid experts and college financial aid officers who will discuss scholarship opportunities, how financial need is calculated and how to work with financial aid offices. Attention College-Bound Seniors:
You will be scheduled to attend one of the following workshops:
Thursday, January 8 or Friday, January 9 during 9th period
in the Library based upon your class schedule. This will be an interactive workshop in which each student will set up their financial aid PIN and account and begin completing the student portion of the FAFSA with Mrs. Henry
