Attention Students Planning to Register for a JCC EDGE Course for 2013-2014:
On June 6th during 4th period, we will host a JCC EDGE Information and Pre-Registration Workshop
Anyone planning to take ENG 101 in the fall is invited to attend. You will learn more about the program and complete the pre-regstration paperwork for college course enrollment
TIERS (Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue)
at LCS
Saturday, June 15th in the LCS Library from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Must be youths ages 12-16
Program focuses on teaching infant and child CPR, first aid, household safety and babysitting basics
Free to Town of Orleans residents
All others will be charged a fee of $15.00 to cover cost of books and materials

Summer School
LCS will not offer summer school this year
The only options for taking advance or repeat courses will be at the following area high schools. Students must pay tuition and provide their own transportation
~Watertown High School: Grades 9-12 summer school registration information, course schedules and offerings are now available in the School Counseling Office.
*The cost for an advance (never taken) course is $450.......*The cost for a repeat course is $300. Deadline to register for a course is 6/21
*The cost for retaking a Regents exam is $50
Deadline to register for an exam is 7/1
~Carthage High School: Grades 9-12 summer school registration information and course offerings are now available in the School Counseling Office

Teen Volunteer Summer Program at Samaritan Hospital
Did you know that admission to many health care-related majors in college require students to have a number of volunteer hours in a health care setting?
If you are considering a career in a health care field, you can earn volunteer hours this summer at SMC
Must be at least 14 years old and able to devote at least 50 hours a week this summer for 6 weeks for 3 half-days per week
Volunteers work in gift shops, pharmacy, maternity, nursing floors, infomration desk and the nursing home
Deadline to apply is 6/14/13
