 ~Financial Aid Planning Presentation~

For parents, students and community members (open to any age, but most suitable for college-bound students and their parents in Grades 11 and 12)

Tuesday, January 6, from 7-8 pm in the LCS Auditorium

A financial aid expert from JCC will present a slide show and question and answer session to help students and their parents in the process of filing for financial aid.

Topics to be covered include:  the FAFSA, loans, grants, and scholarships

 From ZINCH ~ A Must-See for Anyone Who Is New to Completing the FAFSA.  Due to Incredible Popularity of this Webinar   2 Sessions are Scheduled on January 13, 2015  one at 7 pm and another at 9 pm:  HOW TO COMPLETE the FAFSA

Jodi Okun from College Financial Aid Advisors will give a thorough line-by-line reading of the FAFSA application.  High school seniors and their parents are highly encouraged to register for this free webinar.  All registrants will receive a video recording of the presentation so live attendance is not required but certainly encouraged as there is a Q&A session with Jodi at the end of her presentation.  Please click on this link to register.

CollegeWeekLive Event:  PAYING FOR COLLEGE

Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue (TIERS) will be offering a free Babysitter Certification course here at LCS  from 3:10 - 6:30 pm on Friday, January 9, 2015.  Please see Mrs. Henry in the School Counseling Office to sign up to participate


Attention College-Bound Seniors:

You will be scheduled to attend one of the following workshops:

Thursday, January 8 or Friday, January 9 during 9th period

in the Library based upon your class schedule.  This will be an interactive workshop in which each student will set up their financial aid PIN and account and begin  completing the student portion of the FAFSA with Mrs. Henry
