Welcome to my school website.

This is my third year with LaFargeville CSD and I am excited to be back here! My time will be shared between this school, Copenhagen CSD, and schools at Indian River CSD and Watertown CSD. At this time I am at LaFargeville on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year. My main focus is to work with the students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) but I will do my best to make myself available and open to all students and their families as well.

A Little About Me:

I received my Bachelors in Sociology with Honors at SUNY Albany. I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Syracuse University and hold a NYS Licensure for Social Work (LMSW). I am also certified by the NYS Education Department as a Certified School Social Worker. I am on the Board for the New York State School Social Workers Association(NYSSSWA). I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I am currently a certified Advanced Trainer of the Nurtured Heart Approach as well.


Building a Rainbow.

"Next time there's a rainbow, look up. You'll feel better." ~Rainbow Brite~

Everyday there is something good that happens to each one of us and when things are going wrong or were just in a bad mood it can help to think about the good things.

Each time I see a student I have them fill out a piece of paper that starts "Something good that happened to me today was..." They are then displayed on my wall. This year each students piece of paper will build a rainbow across my room. I will also be setting up a page here to share some of the wonderful things that happen to our students each and everyday!


Girls Group

At this time there are no Girls Groups. If my schedule allows it will be starting soon. It will again be open to girls in grades 4-6.
